My name is Melanie Philips and I live in Wilmington, NC.  I’ve been married for 20 years and have two teenage daughters.  Our animal menagerie consist of one very large black and white cat, a 10 year old, sweetheart of a lab named Dixie, and a new wild yorkipoo puppy named Bear. Bear has been with us for a month now and is seriously cutting into my knitting time!  Knitting and being around fiber has become a very important part of my life.  It brings me great joy!
